Natural Areas Information

OLL Life Science Checksheet

Report Life Science information to the electronic version of the Checksheet form. These checksheets summarize the life science features of protected areas and identifies representative and/or significant features found within these sites. Life science checksheets will be completed for all sites identified in the Ontario Living Legacy Land Use Strategy.

Natural Areas List

Lists all areas within the NHIC Areas Database. The list is sortable by different categories and alphabetically. The list is fairly large (close to 10,000 entries) so it may take a while to load.

Natural Areas Name Search

Search the Areas Database using keywords found in natural areas names. You can use the percent sign (%) as a wild card character. For example:  pine%

Natural Areas by Jurisdiction

Query the database for natural areas by jurisdiction.

Geographic Query

Natural Areas and Element Occurrence data can be accessed through the Geographic Query. Please read the instructions first. The Mapguide Plug-in (download a copy) is required to access this query.
