Vegetation:

Landform: This small forested island in Lake Superior is notable for several distinct, low gravel beach ridges on its east end which rise no more than about 15 m above present lake level, representing late glacial lake stages in the Superior basin. The bedrock of the island, poorly exposed in limited shoreline outcrops, consists of Osler volcanics and Keweenawan gabbro sills (O.D.M., 1973, Map 2285). [(Kor) n.d.]

Representation: Significance: Low; better representation of raised shorelines and bedrock components occurs elswhere. Area can be dropped from parks system from earth science point of view. [(Kor) n.d.]
