| Description: | This area consists of a level upland which is sharply dissected by the Ausable River, Adelaide Creek and several other small tributary creeks. The only standing water present is in a long, linear man-made pond along the east edge of the farm in the centre of the complex. The Ausable River is about 20 feet across and is quite deep in this area. In comparison, Adelaide Creek is much smaller. The majority of the woodland contains typical upland species due to the dryness of the floodplain. [Hilts and Cook 1982] |
